In Kanpezu we have always been called ‘kutxareros’ or ‘txirrikeros’ due to the long tradition that has existed in the village for many years in the carving and manufacture of boxwood spoons. Nowadays there is only one spoon maker left in the village, Bixente, who from his project EGURRE makes these spoons designed by us and represents the artisan relationship with the boxwood that the Mountain has given us.
